G.O.! Get Online Tech Appeal
Sunderland City Council has partnered with Protech City to offer low-cost computer equipment to registered charities that are members of the VCS Area Networks under the G.O.! Get Online Scheme.
How to donate
A number of Sunderland City Council owned desktops and laptops are replaced each year to ensure they are technically up to date and perform well. Some of these devices are suitable for reuse, and could be offered through this scheme.
Through the Council's Community Wealth Strategy, other public and private sector partners are able to donate their own desktops and laptops to the GO! Get Online Scheme. If your Organisation would like to find out more about donating devices, as part of your Corporate Social Responsibility, email the team on email@example.com.
Sunderland residents can donate devices as well, we want the whole City of Sunderland to support the GO! Get Online Tech Appeal. You just need to book a slot at one of the G.O.! Get Online donation points, pop along with the kit, and Protech will collect it, wipe it clean, restore factory settings and install Microsoft Office 2010, then send it on to its new home.
How to buy
Desktops and laptops are a flat fee of £120 (this includes VAT). Both come with genuine Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business software and a Windows 10 operating system that includes anti-virus.
