Disapply DPS
An individual who is named as the designated premises supervisor (DPS) on a premises licence can submit a notice to the council which removes himself from that position.
Eligibility criteria
You must be the holder of a personal licence and be named on a premises licence as the designated premises supervisor (DPS).
Application evaluation process
The notification must be made in writing and if the person is also the premises licence holder it must be accompanied by his premises licence or if that is not possible he must provide a statement outlining the reasons why he has failed to provide the licence.
If the DPS is not the premises licence holder, they must:
- Within 48 hours of giving notice to the council, give the holder of the premises licence a copy of their request and
- Request that the premises licence holder forwards his premises licence to the council or
- Provide a statement outlining the reasons why he has failed to provide the licence within 14 days
Application fee
There are no fees to remove yourself as the DPS from a premises licence.
