Stadium of Light CPMS
The Stadium of Light Community Parking Management Scheme (CPMS) prohibits parking in streets surrounding the Stadium of Light on SAFC match and event days.
The extension of the current CPMS was designed following discussions with a working group (City Services Portfolio Holder, Local Ward Members, Council Officers and Residents Representatives).
Main objectives of a CPMS are:
1. Address parking problems caused by event day traffic
2. Improve road safety for all highway users
3. Improve access and parking for disabled people
The restrictions within the CPMS are applied to the date shown on the gateway entry sign (all SAFC home fixtures and any other events held at the Stadium of Light).
Only vehicles displaying any of the following are entitled to park within the zone during these times.
1. A valid parking permit
2. A voucher / scratch card
Any vehicle observed parking without displaying any of these may be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.
Cost of Permits
An administration fee is payable for the provision of parking permits. The fee covers the administration costs associated with permit issue and will apply for a full year or part thereof. No pro rata payments are available. All permits have an expiry date printed on them. Please see information below which details the permit period that applies for each Community Parking Management scheme.
Please note: if you purchase a permit after the commencement of the scheme year the permit will only be valid for the remaining months of that scheme year there are no pro rata payments available.
The permit scheme year for the Stadium of Light CPMS is:
1st August - 31st July
