Who is this course for?

This course is for 19+ adults who would like to improve their maths skills who do not already hold a Level 2 or above qualification in Maths.

What will I learn on the course?

You will build confidence with everyday maths in your daily life and increase your knowledge of:

• Budgeting - managing your money
• How to work out rates of pay and understand your payslips
• Create a CV and cover letter
• How to search for jobs more efficiently
• Researching training opportunities
• Improved interview techniques

How will I learn?

Through a range of activities such as creating budgeting sheet, looking at different wage slips and rates of pay, better off calculations, creating CV and cover letter, mock interviews and job searching activities. Computers and worksheets will be used as well as group discussions and one to one. Discussions will take place to help you improve your maths skills and prepare you to be job ready or to take your next step in training or employment.
