Who is this course for?

Learners who want to be more confident using maths in everyday situations and want to develop these in a fun and supportive environment.

What will I learn on the course?

You will learn:

• How to craft with wood
• Maths connected with craft projects, starting from an individual learning assessment
• Working safely with tools and equipment
• To plan, design and create wooden items to suit a chosen area

How will I learn?

Sessions are face to face with all resources included to complete the course. Sessions include both theory-based and practical activities. You will also be introduced to money saving and budgeting advice and guidance, often with guest speakers that are qualified in their chosen field of expertise including sessions led by a master craftsman.

What next, after the course?

Progress to another suitable Multiply intervention course, or Maths Functional Skills qualification to suit your needs. You could also consider joining LG Design pre-traineeship programme
