Do you need help with your water bills? If you're on a low income or receive Pension Credit, Northumbrian Water may be able to reduce your bills by up to 50%.

Who can apply?

If your total income is less than £17,005 and your annual water and sewerage bill is more than 3% of your net household income (after housing costs, rent or mortgage payments) or,

If someone in your household receives Pension Credit and your annual water and sewerage bill is 3% or more of your net household income (after housing costs, rent or mortgage payments).

Your eligibility can be checked over the phone and it's quick and easy to do.

Northumbrian Water also has an easy to use online eligibility checker. They also install water meters free of charge which can bring down the cost of your bill.
