The Movers

Liz one of our reporter's is part of Sunderland Movers at Sunderland Empire. The Movers learn Ballet and Contemporary Dance which is a class for adults over 65.

They recently took part in a showcase which contained all the Empire's Creative Learning classes, so it was intergenerational and inclusive.

"It was so nice to be involved in a production which included all ages, abilities, and disabilities" (quote from Sunderland Mover)

Performers included the Sunderland Empire Academy, the Contact Company, the Community Chorus, Dance Fit and Movers.  All the performances were well received by an appreciative audience, and everyone is looking forward to next year's showcase as it is a truly inspirational occasion.
