Mayor's fundraising
Another important role of the Mayor, a one the Mayor is always very passionate about, is to support a few local charities and good causes.
Each Year the Mayor promotes their chosen charities and good causes and raises funds for them by hosting charity events throughout their year in office.
The Mayor for 2024-25, Councillor Allison Chisnall is supporting Castletown Scouts Group, Hylton Castle Trust and the Royalty Theatre Sunderland as it celebrates in Centenary anniversary.
