Shopmobility

This is a scheme which operates from the Bridges Roof Top Car Park whereby people with mobility difficulties can hire either wheelchairs or electric scooters to enable them to get about within the Bridges Shopping Centre.

The Shopmobility centre which provides this service is available 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday).  However in the Christmas period this is also available on a Sunday.

You have to be a member to use the scheme and there are two types of membership available:

• annual membership which costs £20.00 per annum
• monthly membership which costs £2.00 per month

Wheelchair hire costs £0.50 per hour with a maximum charge of £2.50.
Scooter hire costs £1.00 per hour with a maximum charge of £5.00.
