Domestic homicide review - 'Carol'
The Safer Sunderland Partnership has published the findings of a domestic homicide review. In 2017 Northumbria Police notified the Safer Sunderland Partnership of the death of 'Carol'. It was established that the death met the criteria for a Domestic Homicide Review under Section 9 of the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act.
Notes
The purpose of a domestic homicide review is to establish what lessons can be learnt from the domestic homicide and how local professionals and organisations work individually and together to safeguard victims. The Safer Sunderland Partnership has a statutory duty to carry out domestic homicide reviews.
