Training in Care - Living on a Budget

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone aged over 19 years who have not previously attained a GCSE Grade 4/C or higher maths qualification at Level 2 or equivalent.

What will I learn on the course?

This course prepares learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding of how to live on a budget. This course helps learners to manage money when on a low income, focusing on aspects of essential spend and non-essential. Learners will consider budgeting, investigate ways to cut costs, ensure they are claiming the correct benefits and those they are entitled to, emergency borrowing and loans.

How will I learn?

Face-to-face learning - the tutor will support learners by offering a range of different activities, such as direct teaching, discussion and tasks to develop skills and knowledge. The tutor will assess the learner by looking at their work, asking questions and observing as they join in with group discussions.
