Located in the heart of Sunderland city centre, this award-winning building has a variety of different spaces to cater for ceremonies of all sizes and budgets.  

Whether you want your ceremony to be small and intimate, or you have your heart set on the Mayor's Parlour with its roof top terrace, we are here to make it happen.  

Located close to all main forms of transport and with an array of high-quality hotels, restaurants and car parks on the doorstep, City Hall offers everything you need for your special day.

Book a ceremony

We recommend you book early to ensure that a Registrar is available on your chosen date.

Please be sure to read our ceremony booking terms and conditions for rescheduling and cancellations.

Fees

All ceremonies excluding those in the statutory Register Office, will require you to pay a non-refundable deposit. Any subsequent changes to bookings will incur an additional administration fee.  All ceremony fees can be viewed here.
