You are still able to apply for certificates using our online search, apply and pay facility. Certificates remain at £11.00 per certificate and are posted first class within 10 working days of us receiving your application.
However please note that whilst post leaves the register office, delays in postal delivery services may result in you receiving your certificate later than scheduled and royal mail delivery services are beyond our control.
Enquiries about family history are still welcome by emailing us at Registrars@Sunderland.gov.uk however please note that it may take longer than usual to get back to you with an answer to your query in view of our current prioritisation of death registrations.
