Moving home
Tell us you are moving into, within or out of the Sunderland area. The Sunderland area includes Washington, Houghton-le-Spring and Hetton-le-Hole.
Use this service to report your change of address to:
- Council Tax
- Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support
- Blue Car Badge
If you are new to the area or this is your first time paying council tax, complete this form.
If you are already paying council tax and are moving within the Sunderland area, complete this form. You will need your council tax account number.
If you are moving out of the area, to live with family, friends or to a residential care home where you will not be responsible for council tax, complete this form. You will need your council tax account number.
Before you start
You will need your council tax account number, if you have one, you can find this on your council tax bill.
If you want to pay by direct debit, you will need your bank account number and sort code.
Tenants will be asked to provide landlord or agent details. If you are selling the property you will be asked to provide the new owner's details.
