As well as benefiting your community, volunteering provides you with a range of advantages including:

  • Creating a feeling of community spirit and belonging
  • Promoting an active mind and body
  • Increased activity and improved health
  • Meeting new people and making new friends
  • Learning new skills
  • Having fun!

Great British Spring Clean 2022

We're looking for volunteers to join us in the Great British Spring Clean, from 25 March to 10 April, and help keep our city clean and green.

If you have a spare hour or two and would like to volunteer to take part in a litter pick in the area where you live, please let us know by completing the form below:

There are lots of locations and dates to choose from, you could even volunteer for more than one! The events take place from 25 March to 10 April. All equipment, such as litter pickers and gloves will be provided.

The Great British Spring Clean campaign, now in its seventh year, is organised by the charity Keep Britain Tidy. The charity found that for those who had previously taken part, their wellbeing and mood had improved, they had met new people, and felt that they had helped towards reducing the impact of litter on wildlife and the natural environment.

We would love it if you, your friends or family could come along to one of the litter pick events and do your little bit to help take care of the environment where you live.
